Norma Aracely Orellana owns the farm La Arada, in the El Hichozal area of Corquin, Copan. Norma has been managing her's and her mother's farms for a number of years now, and has gradually been regenerating plants and planting new varieties, such as Lempira and Colombia. The majority of the 2 hectares of land is planted with red and yellow caturra, which has great yield and quality at this altitude. The farm has a unique microclimate so although the altitude is slightly lower, the diurnal temperature fluctuation is still large and perfect for producing complex coffee.
